About the Library

Internet Guidelines

The Cortland Library has eight public access computers---all have Microsoft Office and unfiltered Internet access. Patrons also have use of a black and white printer. There is no fee and a library card is not required to use this equipment. There is no daily time limit for patrons, however, the library staff reserves the right to ask patrons to graciously end their session if there are others waiting to use a computer.

Children 8-18 must have parent permission on file at the library to have unsupervised internet access. Children under 8yrs. must have a parent present for supervision and assistance.

The library also has free WiFi for those wishing to work on their own laptops.

If any person feels that another patron is using the internet in an inappropriate manner, please report it to a member of the staff and they will handle the situation.

Guidelines are subject to change. Any changes will be posted on this page.
